LIHEAP is offered through your local community & family resource centers on Lopez, Orcas, and San Juan Islands. It is an income-eligible program–you do not have to be behind on your utility bill to receive assistance. We will have multiple scheduling opportunities throughout the year so keep checking back for updates.Įnergy Assistance is not just a winter program but year-round. Once we fill crisis for the week, more will be available the following Monday. Crisis appointments will still be very limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. For water/sewer, you will need to be past due. To qualify for a crisis, your propane or oil tank must be at or below 10% remaining, or have less than a 7 day supply of wood, or be at risk of disconnection from your electric/gas/water/sewer utility with a 72-hour notice.
